(It's Typepad that I am having problems with not my computer. I changed to my laptop but it is the same problem, all of a sudden the arrow starts to shake and doesn't follow a command. I am forced to shut down the computer and start over, losing everything. So please forgive me as I add the bits and pieces.)
I am trying desperately to organise my life. I am sure, as in times past, I will fail. But at least some of it will get organised and I always seem to find things thought for lost.
This time I found a missing gem. The CD of photos that our first clients took! This was in August 2002 and we were not officially even open. A couple were desperate for a place to stay for 2 weeks in August while visiting family in the area. I explained the situation but
they were undaunted and
Luckily August was hot and we took breakfast on the terrace
but that didn’t stop Jean-Luc from photographing everything. I am so glad he did because didn’t even think of it. These are only before and after photos.
Breakfast on the terrace is a bit nicer now!
As for the front of the house.
The back of the house was the last to be done. I painted it in June of this year.
Now let's go inside...here is the entry from the terrace.
Remember these are the "during" photos; we had already torn off the mint green wall paper but before we had removed the plasterboard to find the beautiful "colombage" (half timbered brick wall)and the well. The well was in the wine cellar and when we broke down the plasterboard it was evident that, at one time the well had been here. So I put it back.
