A Christmas dinner in Paris with John Baxter in Celebration of An Immoveable Feast Having earned the honor of preparing Christmas dinner for his extended French family John was stumped for something new to cook that would surprise and please them after sisteen years of oysters and goose. His solution was at once simple and theatrical-a roast suckling pig complete with the apple in its mouth. This and other stories of Christmases past inform An Immoveable Feast, the follow-up memoir to We'll Always Have Paris recalling the Paris he was born to inhabit.
